My eldest daughter Eden was born 12 years ago with congenital catarachs in both eyes. At 2 months old Eden began the first of her 8 operations performed at GOSH.

I was introduced to LOOK SUSSEX via Blatchington court trust when Eden was 4 years old. We attended many events across Sussex with Blatchington, Actionaires and LOOK SUSSEX.

A member of Look introduced me to the national childrens eyesight charity VICTA and we have been fortunate to attend many weekends away with them, expanding my knowledge, viewing new technology, and making lots of friends.

Blatchington have been so helpful, gifting Eden a laptop, and helping me prepare an EHCP for school too assisting me complete Edens DLA paperwork.

I feel we are very lucky to live in Sussex and have 2 amazing supportive eye sight charities.

I decided to become a LOOK SUSSEX trustee a few years ago in order to give something back to this fabulous little charity, hopefully help and guide new parents and organise events for our brave, fun, courageous kids
